Ocean Conservation with Smart Contracts
Collective guardianship of reef and marine habitats threatened by neglect, pollution, and destructive marine activities. Oceaverse is an innovation in blue climate finance, perpetually funding the actual coastal shepherd communities who do the real work of conservation, all around the world.

HOW DO NFTS SAVE SEAS?
Today’s conservation is fueled by one-way contributions.
But we believe your contribution could hold more value and create more impact than a one-time donation. Oceaverse unlocks that impact by turning your support into digital assets.
These digital assets are built as non-fungible tokens (NFTs) created on the unique Oceaverse smart contract.
This is built on the Polygon protocol, the Proof-of-Stake blockchain allowing Oceaverse to already be carbon negative from the start.
With Polygon, digital assets can reach their full potential, and avoid heavy transaction costs, and can even be traded on OpenSea.

Underwater Artistry
We start with a “Gallery for Good,” rewarding your support with limited NFT editions of the incredible works of underwater artists, photographers, cinematographers, soon to be joined by athletes, scientists, and other creators.

Reef Proxy
Collections
Next, supporters can help protect specific, real life reefs around the world, by collecting NFT proxies of 99 of the Earth’s most significant reefs. These shall be procedurally generated creature and habitat NFTs, linked to the actual rarity and characteristics of their real-life counterparts.

Protect-to-Earn Campaign
Here’s where the power of community kicks in: every Artist Circle and Reef Colony can create 10x impact through relentless advocacy for protecting our oceans. Introducing the Oceaverse Campaign: weekly missions with live rewards built on the upcoming $KRIL token, inspired by the sea’s billions of critical yet undervalued crustaceans.

Oceaverse
Ultimately an immersive ocean metaverse (the Oceaverse), a 3d, virtual, digital twin representing real reefs, shall enable the collective gamified guardianship and governance of the pipeline of conservation projects.

Our vision is that this Web3, spatial, shareable experience unlocks the beauty and awe of the seas, touching the imaginations of millions who have yet to float weightless amongst the amazing colors and creatures of our Earth’s most fragile ecosystems.
The Future of Regenerative Finance
40-60%
of operational proceeds for continuous funding of grassroots reef conservation, not a one-time handoff.
15-45%
of operational proceeds goes to building out the roadmap, fueled by community growth and inclusion for newcomers to digital assets.
5-15%
of operational proceeds are held in reserve.
​Launch minting allocates up to four-fifths of mint value to fairly recognize the pathbreaking contribution of our artists, with remaining operation revenue allocated as above.

A GLOBAL LAUNCH PARTNER IN REEF CHECK
A key piece of the Oceaverse smart contract framework starts with the on-chain partnership with Reef Check Worldwide, a global, grassroots, conservation organization. Wallet to wallet transfers provide a transparency made possible only through blockchain.

With a focus on empowerment of local communities to protect reef ecosystems, the Endowment Fund shall first feed a pipeline of citizen-marine-scientist projects curated by Reef Check for Oceaverse.
